Don't care about the order. I want what I want when I want it. Also, depends on the band as to what I'm buyin' and when. Some bands I like one or two tracks, so it's iTunes. Some bands I like everything they ever did, so they are on CD (sometimes special edition CD's) and then the whole CD is ripped to my 3TB SAN, then available though any device on my network. I then carefully store the original CD, for my archive. All the DL'd material is regularly backed up to DVD-R.
I even have my own little "movies on demand" area. lol
Edit: Perhaps, I should not mention that I not only have Rush's entire catalog on CD, but also on original vinyl. Including a Hemispheres picture disc, and a CAV of "All The World's A Stage"...

I so miss the Capital Records swapmeet.
