The connection of the topic title is not to the Waltons. The connection is to the George Burns and his wife Gracie Allen's comedy act. He was very much in love with her and mentioned her in his comedy routines for many years (until his death in 1996 at the age of 100!!) after she passed away in 1964. He told her to say "Good Night, Gracie" in one of their comedy acts. She repeated everything verbatim, including her own name. That was the joke. It was silly but it entertained the folks at the time.
