And sentenced to 8 years and put on the sex offenders list for life because he ran a karate class and regularly interfered with a 13 year old. The girl in an interview said she thought it was wrong but was too scared to tell anyone. The girl did tell the man she was going to kill herself but all he said to her was thanks for doing that for me. After hearing this or other stories you have heard would you send your child to some sort of club and leave them there or supervise? The man lives close to my street sick

I am a uncle not a parent, if it was my niece going to a martial arts class and I was her guardian she would be supervised by me. No one is going to sexual assult my niece and get a way with it. The police would handle it asap if it happens. I am not going to jail for anyone.

I would have to supervise too. There are so many about. The class was run at a community centre down the road and some of my daughters friends went to it.

Here in the States if you a registered sex offender you can not live within 500 ft of a school or playground. Also depending on the judge the amount of years registering varies to a few year to life if its a repeater.

Many people think it is only adults that are molesting kids but more than you think it is another kid sometimes not that much older or not even bigger that tries stuff with other kids.

Or even a female; what breaks my heart is when a grandparent abuses a child. I don't know how anyone could hurt their child and grandchild like that.

Makes me believe in mandatory sentencing. I am tired of sex offenders getting a slap on the wrist.

I think any time a sex offense results in the loss of fertility; as it often does, I think it should be mandatory life sentence. That is what the victim gets.

things that happen like that make me feel physically sick with worry sometimes. Especially when there is new story and it close to home. These people should get life sentences they are a danger. And I can't stand the fact that some people or countries say it's a cultural thing. It really is an evil thing to do to a child.

I agree it is an evil thing to do to a child. In my state there has been a lot recently cases reported where high school female teachers or female staff at some schools have had sex with male students and the cases are ongoing for us to hear a verdict.
