Can't be any more of a pretty-boy Batman than Val Kilmer was.

I didn't like him as DaredDevil.

Let's hope he doesn't sink this role too.

Your thoughts about Ben Aflac being the new Batman in Batman vs. Superman?

Personally, I think the writing is more essential than the actor.

People have an inherent idea/bias/prejudice of a persons personality just by looking at them. Hence the desire for pictures on online dating sites.

If they write a story completely out of character for what someone looks like, choose an actor completely at odds with the story, or make the story so bland and vague it can really be played by anyone with little effort, then it's going to fail and most of the time blamed on the actors.

I don't think Ben Affleck will have any problems being the new batman if the story wasn't written for someone else, or they don't try to make him a character meant for everyone.

If he was just shoe horned into a story because of some kind of contract or star power, then it's going to fail.

I like Christian Bale, too. The story could be good with Ben Affleck.

After seeing the trailer for Batman vs. Superman, I am convinced he will do the role justice. He has come a long way as an actor since he did Daredevil.

I remember Ben Affleck in "Voyages of The Mimi." He's been acting for a few days, I think he can pull it off. I mean, I think Michael Keaton did a good job in the part, and he was "Mr. Mom" in '83 and Batman in '89. As for "pretty boy" Batmen, well, the actors do have to have the looks I guess, as half the role is a millionaire playboy. Of course we all know in reality if you have the millions you don't need the looks, so a "less than pretty" actor might do just as well in the part.

I'd like to see Batman get a nasty facial wound in a fight with a super-villain, and explain it away by Bruce Wayne testing a new electric razor his company had designed. Stock plummets, he has to lay off Alfred, sell off everything to support his alter-ego, perform "Batman" on a budget, and go on Obamacare.

In my opinion BATMAN VS SUPERMAN implies continuity. Since there was no Batman film with Ben as Batman before VS SUPERMAN, the movie makes no sense.

All versions of the Batman story need to start with origin. Otherwise, though they may be good, there will always be that weird feeling that it has to carry over from something.

Essentially every new Batman is a new character.

If they're going to go through the trouble of re-inventing Batman every time, they might as well create a new hero.

They were wrong to cut Tim Burton out from the films.

Always been partial to the shadow more than Batman, since Batman takes a lot from the old pulps and radio serial. Not afraid to get his hands bloody either.

Who gives a damn!
Its a comic book character.

The best Batman was played by Adam West and the best live action was the original Batman TV Show.
At least it had the BLAM! POW! balloons in it.

Granted, I've seen all the comic book superhero movies and of the DC universe Zack Snyder's Justice League is far above the rest in terms of a well written, well made movie.

As for the Batman character, I've never really been fond of him. Superman was always my favorite. As for Dawn of Justice, Batman only made it that far because Superman allowed it. He could have killed Batman from 10,000 feet up by hittng him with a boulder. Splat!

The only thing worse than DC Comics movies is the Marvel franchise.
