Now I'm retired. I was a homemaker, wife, stay at home mom, until the nest was empty. Then I went to work as a office manger, kept everything running smoothly along with accounting and payroll.

Right now, I'm taking a break, as being in hospital, landed me in this situation. There was never going to be a right time to go in. More like a matter of time. I don't think there's any set time for me to recover, which is quite a relaxing thought, as I'd hate to be rushed to get better again. A few of my friends are in a similar situation.

I am an electric lineman by trade, but training to be in commercial and industrial metering. Being a pole dancer, I mean, climbing poles was a lot of fun, but my hips, knees and shoulders will thank me by taking a less impactful profession.

US Marine from 17 to 45, retired from that nearly three years ago. (Don't look that old, do I? lol) Recently completed my second year-long security/operations contract with a US company that has a controversial overseas presence. I'm back with the federal gov't now but have a desk job. Not sure why I'm back with the gov't, I've pretty much maxed out my retirement. I'm just a natural born Boy Scout, I guess.
