Iron Maiden- No other band perfected the sound of metal quite like Maiden did. The bass lines, guitar rifts, guitar solos and Dickinson's voice are simply timeless.
Slayer- "Reign In Blood" is simply the gold standard for Thrash metal.
Rammstein- This is one band that I hope to one day see live. Volkerball live from 2005 shows you how captivating a band they are.
Pantera- Honestly, the last greatest metal band. "Walk" and "Cowboys from Hell" are iconic songs, but "Planet Caravan" and "Cemetary Gates" perhaps showed the bands range best.
Tool- It's kinda hard for me to include them here, but it truly was the metal fans that helped make Tool popular. And their sound...they truly
had their own sound.
Anthrax- "State of Euphoria"made me a fan for life. And how can you not love Anthrax joining forces with Public Enemy to do "Bring the noise".
Nightwish- One of my favorites, and one of the few bands that I will buy a whole album to listen to. Finland just may produce the best metal bands nowadays.
