The number of unarmed black men killed by cops is not even comparable to the number of unarmed black men killed by armed black men..

There are things that can be done to begin to limit the number of shootings by police. Training.. Tightening of the rules on use of deadly force and quite frankly vigorous prosecution of those cops that break the law.

But in terms of black on black crime... What is it going to take? There isn't going to be a magic wand waving...

Zero shootings by police won't stop black gangs from killing each other or innocent men women and children.

When do the lives of those men women and children murdered matter?

Mike Brown... Freddie Gray... Putting people that cause problems in the community on this pedestal because they were killed by cops and forgetting about children being slaughtered in the streets walking home from school is scandalous.

This black lives matter thing is going nowhere until the daily slaughter of black youth by other blacks is addressed in ways other than blaming slavery or segregation..

You want whites to own up to things that happened... You need to own to a few as well..

why bother? let the blacks kill themselves as much as they want, not hurting the white people anyway... maybe we should have a program in giving them guns to enable it faster... for every benefit they collect, give them a handgun too... seems it would solve a few problems right there...

stop glamorizing it , for one, in the media

stop stereotyping it, in the movies and videos

focus more on education and financial empowerment of citizens - PROACTIVE measures instead of REACTIVE measures

In my area (NYC) blacks are a minority although the account for over 70% of the shootings.. 70%...they account for well over 70% of all violent crimes committed in the area. And it is city wide

Or is NYC fudging their numbers as is the FBI to blame it all on black people.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that 72% of blacks are raised in single parent homes...

but being that PRIESTS are in a different position than john or jane doe, where they are specifically being trained and educated and paid to be in a position of trust and authority over others,,,

well, violating a contract, is something that can be addressed SYSTEMICALLY (the system being the employer, catholic church, just as the system for police is the justice system which employs them)

could have something to do with parenting, or poverty, or education, any number of things besides simply some 'propensity' towards the behavior,,,
