I'm fine with Trump running for the office of president.

I don't think he'll win.
But, I do believe he'll siphon enough votes from the republicant party, to put another dim-o-crat in the whitehouse.

true, but the politicians let that happen... corporations can't change laws/regulations without political help...

If a politician seeks support from corporations by recieving contributions, those politicians are indebted to those corporations thereby are then controlled by those corporations.

Corporate bigwigs wield great influence and power due to politicians willingness. In that sense I'd agree that politicians do indeed "let it happen.

So today, corporations have adobted a new technique, they simply recruit young upstarts within universities of political science, and also groom young ambitious men and woman from their own corporate ranks to become future liaisons between corporate America, and the political arena.

precisely why you never hear Trump badmouth big money corporations, they have a long "business" relationship.

In fact, it was his friends on Wall st. and his multinational banking buddies who've supported his various failed and bankruptcies.

Big money, big corporations, big egos, and huge greed.

agreed, but it's not the "young" politicians that are in congress/senate, it's the ones with years under their belt that know what they can and can't get away with... once in the senate, they have way more power that anyone needs...

a city council member/mayor i would totally agree with you on, but the congress and senate mostly have already had years of experience in the political arena

My problem with those seasoned politicians is that they were once also indebted to someone who lobbied their rise.

In fact, whenever someone mentions "same old " washington politics, and how they will change it, I raise an eyebrow because the political infrastructure has always been rooted in networking and political relationships.

In my opinion, all those old congressman and Senate all came from the same structured network.

They do indeed have more power than they need, now just imagin the power of those who've sanctioned their position and benefit from them.

It's no wonder that it's polly and tics as usual.

I always make fun of Trump, but I have to admit, he is a clever bastard.
The guy has had to go in many a lions den to be where he is.
Granted, he has old money and inherited much, but he also made his own, he lost and gained.

I will not vote for him not because of any political affiliation, I'm not a democrat nor a republican, but simply because I don't believe in anyone.

Right now Trump has numbers because he's poking the Establishment bear with a sharp stick, and people are enjoying it. Eventually when they realize he doesn't have the skills for the job, there will be a more serious candidate search.

What Trump DOES do however, is he forces the conversation that needs to be had on issues like immigration, Planned Parenthood, the care of veterans, the economy, and how people just like him 'game' the system to their advantage.

People have been of the opinion for decades now that Washington is inhabited and run by corrupt party hacks who vote by block as directed, and don't vote their conscience or for what is best for the country.

People are tired of wasteful, partisan government which attaches riders to bills costing millions more than estimated, and do nothing to get the middle class employed and stoking the American economic engine.

People want meaningful change, and if that means electing a guy who says during a State of the Union address "Congress, you're fired!" well then so be it. The unlikely choice isn't always the impossible choice.

Who would have thought an actor (Reagan) or a newspaper publisher(Harding) could have been president? The vast majority of U.S. presidents have been either soldier, lawyers, or farmers. There has never been a true industrialist/developer/builder as president.

Hmmmmmm.

i keep hearing he's not Qualified, doesn't have the skills, things of this nature...

so what are the skills needed? what makes someone Qualified? i probably won't vote for him, just for the fact he hasn't been in the Military, i don't think someone should be in charge of it thats never been been in it...

I am Canadian - It is my understanding that you have Generals, Commanders, etc. that run your military, (just like we have here)..the President pretty much a figurehead. A good leader has knowledgeable persons underneath them doing their job they were trained to do. The President does what the military leaders say and I suppose examples of that are easy to find.. Your Country could use change. I liked Obama - at least he tried to get you health care (should have taken some lessons from other Countries, France/Austraila/Canada/etc.). Your two party system is broken, IMHO Obama has tried to do the right thing many times, only to be defeated by the other dudes (house of representatives? or senate?, not sure of your terminology) I say Go Donald!

That's backwards. Corporations fund politicians and get the political issues and legislation they want. It's started before any of us were alive and continues. You scratch my campaign I pass your laws. You don't pass my laws you don't get reelected or we fund enough of the opposition to make you look bad and stop everything you try to do, and the kicker is that we remain anonymous by law. Superpacs, that's how they work, and stop government from operating as it should.

I'm not sure if he's connected or made, on Jersey Shore do they address him as a friend of ours?
As far as his design, he is a liberal democrat registered as an independent running as a republican. More military spending, bigger government, bigger big brother, bigger list of enemies than Nixon...
Would mandatory Trumpcare be better than Obamacare? I doubt it.

You are dead wrong about Obama and the military. Obama is Commander in Chief and his micro management and political correctness has crippled our military's ability to cripply ISIL.

However, you are correct. Our country could use change and the two party system has long prevented any real fix for the career politician problem. The Donald perhaps could fix some of the problems... if he is even electable.

Trump damn sure makes this election cycle interesting...hell, even fun if you like how he trolls seemingly everybody...and I admit, I do lol.
My problems with Trump are that he talks, and sometimes screams, about what he's gonna do...and yet, hasn't mentioned HOW he's gonna do these things. Time will tell, I suppose.
Secondly, he has a history of flip flopping on several issues: Abortion, Healthcare, gun rights, how he feels about Hillary Clinton, whether he's a dem or repub,just to name a few.

Not saying any of the rest of the candidates, or potential candidates are any better....

Hillary or Biden- More of the last 8 years
Jim Webb- Looks good on the surface but is still a democrat, subject to be persuaded by the big dem machine.

All the rest of the repub candiates- Just faces in a crowd, no one stands out.

Imo, this election cycle points out a sad question....In a country of 320 million, these 10-15 people are the best we can come up with?
