It seems like my first reply to your comment was not politically correct enough for Mingle. It's been deleted, but I won't blame anyone, we all have a job to do. So here we go with another more 'diplomatic' reply.
During the second world war the USA sent thousands of their own people to help us out. We would have been deep in the proverbial without them.
So ask yourself a question, if, and its a big if, going by your statement, but if, you were in power, and all of a sudden another world war breaks out, would you send thousands of your fellow Country men to help out someone else.
A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Yeah, I saw reports of the Mecca crane accident. I'm sure the cleric at the mosque has a head spinning right now at a high enough RPM to make table legs.

Crane falls from the sky during Friday prayer. It's September 11th. How much does Allah want you whacked that he drops a crane on your head while at mosque? In Islam it's all God's will, so obviously you and Allah had a disagreement, and you lost.

Now the cleric has to wonder, how bad a mullah do I have to be that Allah turns 100+ of my flock into raspberry tile grout...WITH A CRANE!!! Not the usual Semtex suicide vest under the dish dasha, or a car bomb for mosque redecorating, but a freakin' crane.

Ooooooh how I soooo want the crane to come from a company in New York or Pennsylvania. I am sure there are already conspiracy theories that the Israelis sabotaged it, or that American agents planted nano-thermite charges to melt the steel...

Anyway, on the one hand I'm sure their families are devastated by their losses, and so on purely humanitarian grounds, sorry for your loss. As a fan of irony however, I can't think of a more perfect karmic event except for the crane taking down a plane into the mosque, but that would have been asking a lot of the universe.

I understand today is 9/11 and that many lost their loved ones on that fateful day, and I'm fully aware that anytime I turn on the news I'm going to see a remembrance of those who died, Wall Street Executives, Janitors, Firefighters, and many others. Why yes it is Sad, and these people do need to be remembered, let's please not look at this as an event in the past that is 'over and done with' it's not.

Sadly we are STILL dealing with the after-effects of this event, but we don't talk about. While reading the names of the 3,000 lost this day in 2001, no one will read the names of the 2,200+ lives of our military that have been lost since, 7 of those this year alone.

Today you will hear about the names of the victims of that day, the names of their families, their ages, and testimonies from people of all walks of life.

You will not hear testimonies from Military families who are attending funerals to say goodbye to their loved ones THIS year. Those who gave up their lives in hopes of preventing another attack like this.

So I challenge everyone, while they are remembering the lost lives from this event, for you to remember that the death-toll from this event is not over, and still-climbing, remember the past lives, but also please remember the present lives being taken too soon as well.

So ask yourself a question, if, and its a big if, going by your statement, but if, you were in power, and all of a sudden another world war breaks out, would you send thousands of your fellow Country men to help out someone else.

The way i see it, it�s always the small ones following orders of the Big ones.

Stalin�s Soldiers follow Stalin.
Expand the list at your own pleasure.

what i would do, i would put the leaders of the world in one room.
and Blow it up if some issues (world hunger, peace in the middle east, Nukes, Plastic in the ocean) are not resolved by midnight.

That way, nobody sends anyone to die over strips of land and wreak havor on this planet.

or simpler yet, if i were in charge, i would unleash all the nukes.
This planet does not need Humans. It�ll do fine without us and our Madness.
