Amazing, It just so happens I am currently working on my annual music video/mp3 archive. I recently came across the DVDVideoSoft Studio which is free. I also just recently discovered that hashtagging your band or artist name on youtube results in full albums that are downloadable with Ant Downloader extention.
So this year I am getting all the songs to complete the albums in my collection. I then archive both the videos and the artist file to a 4TB hard drive.
So many times in the past my favorite videos got pulled from youtube, now I have a backup.

And that is where I am. I did Warren Haynes yesterday, only needed 4 songs from two albums to complete my collection.

I have two speed dials full of more artists to look thru. Plus, on the side panel it lists related artists where I find even more albums.

These are the albums, in order. Some are pristine but some are composed of videos from other collections for the song order, Like from a best of or a VEVO video for one or two songs. Most have just the cover art as the video and are available in HD. When I convert, I use the HD and set the MP3 to highest quality (insane quality).

Once I scour the tagged artist I subscribe to that tag. It helps me keep track of the ones I have done and alerts me to additional videos.

Today I am doing my Tom Petty collection.

I found two album listings on youtube
one for Tom Petty and one for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Last.FM says that The Heartbreakers back all of Tom Petty's Solo albums so I combined them to one file.

Up until today I thought I had a lot of Tom Petty - I was so wrong!
My 60 songs has now grown to over 250.

There is lots of good music never played on the radio. I think I like it all.

I see some silver so he qualifies for the club.

Tom and SassyEuro: Have you ever checked out Mudcrutch? According to Wikipedia, Mudcrutch was formed in 1970, but "was disbanded by the record company in 1975 and did not play together again until recording this album (Mudcrutch) 32 years later. After the initial break-up, band members Tom Petty, Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench went on to form Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers."

Never thought of it that way (coffee break). I tend to drink coffee (decaf now) most of the morning, while I'm goofing off.
