We had home-baked lamb leg steaks and steak fries with chocolate covered strawberries and wine by candlelight.

Did you know tomatoes have MSG in them naturally?

drool laugh

No, I didn't know that. I imagine since it's naturally occurring it's not as bad as the manufactured stuff?

Just googled it and even though it's a fruit, nutritionally it's considered a veggie... you're good... saved by google laugh

MSG is sodium salt glutamic acid functions as a neurotransmitter in your brain and is an non essential amino acid. Like everything else in moderation it won't hurt you....just look at the life expediency of Asians who use to enhance the flavor in many foods. Besides tomatoes it occurs naturally in grapes, cheese, mushrooms and other foods. It's why they can't claim ANY of those foods are MSG free.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. I've only heard bad things about it. I'll research it to find out more. Thanks!

Most of the warning about food are put out after they give a mouse thousands of times the amount possible for human to consume in a day.

I like to eat....but not that much!!! laugh

That is true! Most of the warnings are safeguards to keep from getting sued.

I'm waiting for bottled water and every tap in every house to come with a warning...."Over consumption of water can be harmful"
Drinking too much water can cause hyperhydration AKA "water intoxication" resulting in a possible drop of sodium in your blood that can be fatal.

That actually happened to me in Colorado. My sodium levels dropped from drinking too much water to get used to the altitude. It wasn't fatal... obviously, lol.

But I know what you mean though.
