May sound like old news, but there's still health problems to date in Vietnam due to the 18 million (68 million liters)!!! of Agent Orange that the US sprayed over Vietnam, and parts of Laos and Cambodia for a decade ...

Depending on where it ended up, it can have half-life of over more than a 100 years!!!

Makes me wonder if the US do anything at all towards getting rid of the chit? :S People prolly don't even think about it anymore?

My B/L flew in helicopters that sprayed it in VietNam. He has a lot of health problems and his only daughter, was born with a birth defect. A lot of children of soldiers were effected.
Does our government care?

I think about it daily as my health slips away while I fight the govt (the last 45 yrs) to classify my ailments under that label

I really hope that you and everyone else will at least get recognition.
I never really knew much about that war, not apart from what you see in movies. I was born in '66, so I was just a baby/kid at the time. I also don't know what was in the news here (Netherlands, Europe) about that war. The only thing I can remember, is talk about Vietnamese boat refugees. That must have been in '75.
It's only recently that I started to read about it, for instance to learn why it actually started to begin with.
The impact and cost of that war are incredible. Words cannot even begin to express it, it's just unbelievably sad...
I'm sending you a big hug and pray people have learnt from it, and that you and everyone else will at least get well-deserved recognition.
