I have seen many topics in the Music forum related to Rap, Metal etc etc. But I am sure a hell lot of you must be the type who rise above and beyond into the realms of progressive rock. So lets just mingle here! What's your favorite prog group, guitarist, song etc etc whatever you wanna share. And also, people with similar interests go along very well, so I believe we will also make some good friends here.

Ah and yes, for my part, I love Porcupine tree, Marillion, and King Crimson for a start.

I always liked Alan Holdsworth in U.K. And John Petrucci in Dream Theater.

Transatlantic is totally a master piece. Every album, including the covers they have accomplished, is truly astonishing. Portnoy was what got me into it. Couldn't believe my ears when I heard "The Return of the Giant Hog Weed". They nailed it. Not many besides Genesis themselves could've pulled that off.

If anyone that reads this, you gotta check out Änglagård. Nothing short of ****ing beautiful prog.
Gentle Giant anyone? Another must hear.
