Law enforcement agencies are remaining mum about plans to end militiamen's occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters.

A splinter group of militia in town to support a local ranching family took over the federal office Saturday afternoon in a development that stunned the community and visiting militia.

Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward said in a statement late Saturday that "a collective effort from multiple agencies is currently working on a solution."

Many people will awaken today to the news of approximately 100 to 150 armed militia taking control of a closed Wildlife Park Headquarters, and not know the full back-story – so here it is:


The short summary is: in an effort to draw attention to a ridiculous arrest of a father and son pair of Oregon Ranchers (“Dwight Lincoln Hammond, Jr., 73, and his son, Steven Dwight Hammond, 46,) who are scheduled to begin five year prison sentences (turning themselves in tomorrow January 4th 2016), three brothers from the Cliven Bundy family and approximately 100/150 (and growing) heavily armed militia (former U.S. service members) have taken control of Malheur Wildlife Refuge Headquarters in the wildlife reserve. They are prepared to stay there indefinitely.

In this situation big difference between "people are killing others at random, any time, any place, bombs, guns, beheadings! They're threatening nuclear bombs, they're threatening deadly gas attacks! They're taken a bunch of hostages and are threatening to kill them!" and "some guys are sitting in the lodge and they're saying they're not leaving or letting anyone in. Kinda like my 9 year old when he has a tantrum, goes into the bathroom, and locks the door so he doesn't get grounded."

but on this, yeah, pretty basic concept that doesn't require the highest iq to merely discuss,,


the thread was

originally about an armed occupation by people who wont allow anyone in or out and have declared a willingness to kill or be killed


the first response was of support which caused a tangent response addressing the differing semantics and reactions to peoples behaviors

these men are 'militants' being supported in their armed occupation because they are 'fighting corruption'

while others, such as BLM are berated as 'hate groups' and causing 'havoc' in response to their UNARMED protests around the country,,

logic usually is a bit more of a hit amongst the logical,,,

If this "militant militia" were in Chicago, they'd all be dead by now.
