china sent a rover there and are saying it cant move.. HAHAHA it is very amusing..
in india we dont trust them we think the chinise products are of inferior quality(we have our markets flooding with cheap chinese warranty less products) so we always joke about chinese products..

and yes if it is not moving may be there are some technical glitches. may be
we will know something as ISRO will send its rover on moon in 2018-2019 but again there will be scissoring and cenceroship(not complete truth)

QUOTE: didnt India sent mars orbiter? yes india did send it and till now it hadnt found what it went looking for (presence of methane) but yes it did get some breathtaking pictures and some small experiments. it was just a technology demonstrator. to show that yes we india too had the technology .. which was very cost effective 75 mn $ only.

launching a satellite can take more than 30 mn $.. what most important was success in first attenpt and that also very efficiently..

NASA announced a few months ago that there is methane on mars... they say they don't know if it was formed biologically or naturally tho..

lets look it in a diffrent perspective..
may be we didnot find anything on moon.. (iam not saying we are alone) so it means no big breakthroughs.. so things are kept in dark.., to make people intrigued about it, make it more fascinating.. which led people speculate about the diffrent theories out there.. may be they did this intentinally(the secrecy) so that there is no hurdle in finance (black budget) and resources for further space exploration.. (which i think is necessary)
what you think?
is it possible?

anything is possible... but there is a reason why NO ONE has went back... china sent a rover there, but are saying it can't move...huh

I never thought about that ... Good point.

yes NASA has earlier proposed the presence of methane and recently also announced it but the europeans did not found its presence. it was that if india also finds it then it would provide a testimony to NASA claim, as was the case with water on moon.

and to say about reason why no one was sent back is.. i think was political, when USSR lost the race to moon it opted out and i think USA didnt want to run vauge, a race without competitor... Are'nt the astronauts given training to land on mars or on any asteriods??

ANother question is: is it true that no one went back? Would the US not have gone back? Maybe not publicly...
If I remember correctly, at some point the general public wasn't too interested in space travel anymore, or they were getting annoyed with it costing so much of their money, the novelty had worn off. So funding to NASA and related organisations was cut back. Officially that is. Maybe unofficially they just kept at it?
Who's to say they wouldn't have gone back to the moon? Lord knows the weird structure on the moon is American after all? Maybe even in coop with the Russians?
Maybe some ppl could tell, the 'nutters' that live to watch the skies, and make it their life's mission, so called amateurs that aren't really all that amateuristic anymore. But would they tell the public?

lol, the nutters think we never went there in the first place... but you could be right, we have the tech for it, and went 16 trillion in debt in the last 15 years... that money went somewhere

Yeah, heard those theories too, think I once watched a docu on that on National Geographic or similar station.
Who knows ...

What I also find odd, is that they're doing all this Mars stuff now, yet from what I've heard a couple of years ago, we are going to be in chit because many satellites will fail in the near future. And they can't replace them because ??? It costs too much?
How can we not replace satellites, while billions are being spent on Mars missions, ISS etc etc? Can we even live without satellites without going back to the dark ages? ohwell
Now I never studied this subject to find out more about it, dunno if it's really true, nor how dire that situation is.

Oh well, at some point we may very well have an Enterprise, just no satellites? laugh

the most incredible thing i have ever saw or i should say ...one of the most incredible was a ufo directly over my truck and trailer on vancouver island one night at 1 am on the old island hyway in 1994 this thing was so bright and so large that it was almost impossible to look at due to its intense brightness...was like looking at a high powered welding arc at close range!...it wasnt from this earth! not a chance in hell of that!....if anybody wants to enquire joey.robson@ymail.com
