There's no static point in time in American history.
It was all reaction to the previous attempts at solving "problems."


Then there's no reason for Trump to be running as a republican.


The problems were always there.
They're the same problems.
People keep wanting to believe government can help solve them.
Government can't.
Government has never solved a problem.
Hunger? Disease? Misery? Suffering? Destitution? Slavery? Drugs? War? Murder? Environmental degradation? Freedom vs. security?
Nothing "solved."
At best the problems are shifted with the dangling shiny keys of money going to the loudest criers or most influential, while any help and change has come from people that just kinda ignore the government and thankfully have their own private land to do stuff on.

I might have given government points towards solving illiteracy, but my 40 year old sibling bought me "The Hunger Games" book trilogy a few years ago telling me how great they were.
