Mike Klepper was quoted as saying, “It is simply impossible for said ‘refugees’ to check their Islamism at the door.”
According to The Daily Caller, a riot has broken out in a Belgian refugee camp consisting of Iraqi, Syrian, and Afghani refugees, apparently over compliance with Islamic rules of dress.
The refugees were forced to choose sides after a group of Afghanis attempted to attack a young girl for not wearing a headscarf, otherwise known as a hijab. The Syrians and Iraqis stood up for the young girl, upset and perplexed as to why the Afghanis chose to make an example of her.
The matter had been boiling over for days before a full-blown riot erupted with more than 100 people involved. Red Cross worker An Luyten said, “Two or three Afghans had been targeting a young girl from Syria for a couple of days because she was not covering her head covering.”
“You may call this strange, because several other girls were also not wearing a headscarf. It is not clear why they were after this girl in particular,” Luyten stated.
The rioters grabbed whatever they could and began throwing items at each other. Authorities moved in arresting seven rioters, which included “the four that were part of the core portion [who] have been transferred to a detention center,” said Luyten. In all, seven refugees were injured in the riots.
Theo Francken, Belgium’s Secretary of State for Asylum, Migration and Administrative Simplification, called the riot “totally unacceptable … They come here, they are guests here … We are not with them. They have to adapt to our rules.”
