I wonder if there have been many sightings in the Mt Shasta area, northern California as spiritual sources say that they live there (too). Hidden in another dimension, not unlike the Glastonbury legend (Mists of Avalon, that allegedly has shifted into another dimension) so it's safe from us ppl who tend to kill and ruin everything.
There have been more 'weird' sightings in that area, also in a town at the foot of the mountain, ppl coming in shops there that are erm ... 'weird'.
UFO sightings, strange lights that cannot be explained and so on.
But personally ... I'd never ever run after a Bigfoot to try and capture it on film. Sod that!

Here in Florida they are called Skunk Apes. I have seen some very compelling documentary footage of them in the swamps in south FL. I believe it is very possible that they exist. I just haven't been one of the lucky people to have had an experience or sighting. I am waiting for the day that science can prove their existence. I have heard, and this could just be a rumor, that they are protected in FL even though science has not definitely confirmed their existence yet.

I'm from Washington state and I know for a fact that Bigfoot are real and anyone who doesn't think so I'll take you up in the foothills and you can setup your tent there and spend the night, I guarantee you will be a believer long before morning and you might even give up camping
