A bit confused in how you phrased this. But just to correct you, there were MANY official public statements about Iran Contra, including direct admission by the officials that committed the illegal acts, that they had done so.

As for the Coup against the Shah of Iran, that's before my time, but what I remember is that we SUPPORTED the Shah. In fact, that's a large part of why post-Shah Iran still hates us so much.

The moment they arrest her the US Attorney would drop the charges. They police cant keep her in jail, they actually have to have someone to prosecute her and mixing local and federal agents is always a bad move. We keep them separate for a reason.
