Headcam footage released on May 3 from the Turlock Fire Department in California shows the moment firefighters tackled a blaze and rescued four kittens from a burning structure on W. Main Street, Turlock.

According to the fire department, the kittens were safely reunited with their mother.

My brother is a NYC fireman. He told me once they get to a tenement building fire.. flames shooting out of the windows. He gets up in the tower ladder to a window where he sees a guy and kid ( father and son) with there heads sticking out of the window, trying to get air

My brother goes to grab the kid first and the father sticks a parrot in his hands.

My brother told him.. give me the kid... not the bird.

But the parrot did survive ;)

I have relatives in the firedepartment & rescue. It is incredible what these guys do.
They do NOT get enough credit.

I thank every cop, fireman, rescue worker I see. They deserve it.

* But a gratitude letter, to their commanders, stays in the permanent record ... Hint, hint..people *

My brother just retired last month after 30 years... battalion chief... seen a lot.

I asked him what does he most want to do not that he's not in the department anymore. He told me he really wants to smoke a joint... been waiting 30 years to do it. ( because of random drug tests)

My sister gave him one..Lol.. he deserves it :)
