Are you asking, if we are now on friendlier terms with Cuba, should we stop our policy/ agreement, of 'if you make it here alive & you are Cuban, you can stay? '

Or an open door policy?

Or are you asking about black market rafts?

Or the expense & time the coast guard spends on pulling them out of the water?

Or are you asking, would we move South & out of the country?

Or are you asking if we are turning into Cuba?

Are you talking about the virus & the upcoming games?

Are you referring to the gangs?

Are you asking if our government would stop us from going to Cuba in a raft ?

.But there has been a few Cuba threads in the last year & no I would never leave the USA *

This is an international issue...here in Oz we call them "the boat people"...

They come from the sub continent and the middle east...make their way to places like Indonesia and then pay people smugglers to gain boarding on less than seaworthy boats and sail to Oz...

Much the same as the boat people arriving in European countries...

A worldwide problem that isn't going to go away...

Not a fine moment for the United States. We protected serious criminals like Adolf Eichmann, the CIA knew where he was and his movements the entire 15 years while he was on the run and protected him because he knew enough about the Nazi criminals we put back into power in West Germany and here in the USA and we $it a brick when Israel found him because we were afraid he would spill the beans.

We were also rumored to protect Joseph Mengele and many other wanted by West Germany and Israel. Way to go President Truman!

Nasa was basically founded by a Nazi we had in custody who created the V2 rockets for Nazi Germany Wernher Freiherr von Braun, who we may have done a good PR campaign on polishing him up but the guy was a fanatical Nazi and not only knew about the Concentration Camps but used slave labor to build his weapons.

That was my reference to Eichmann and Otto Skorzeny (who with the United States help created ODESSA), both men where part of the Gehlen Org along with some others who were even worse then them!

The CIA damn near $hit a brick when the Mossad got Eichmann because we knew where he was all along and if that came out we would have been screwed. Plus we were afraid Eichmann would start talking about some people in the new West German Government that we put in power were Eichmann's assistants in the extermination process........

Why do you think Mengele disappeared right after they found Eichmann? Coincidence? They were sent there to bring them both back and both were in the same town, used the same safe house and used the same networks, I guarantee we got him out before the Mossad could get their hands on him.

You know what I never got is ok we protected horrible people like Eichmann, Mengele, Von Braun, Galen, Skorzeny, Barbie but we threw people we could really use who weren't as bad as the above mentioned like Donitz under the bus. That man was one of the best Naval Officers in history and with the Cold War, we could have used him.

He never was really a Nazi member and the moment he became head of Germany he ordered immediate negotiation's to end the war on all fronts.
