I knew my dogs name in about 30 minutes of having her..
The name needs to fit the dog breed, personality etc..
And been's it is going to be a guys dog Should be something he is comfortable with.

There is no best name. The owner of a dog is the person that should give the name to a pet.

mine came with a name but you could tell she didnt like it and would not respond to it
i just changed it and called her and nothing
so changed it again , and again and again till i found one that she liked
waited a while and called her by that name again to make sure
she did
so i went with it

but really a name is just something for them to respond to
