charged criminally and sentenced to probation for a minor, trivial incident of mishandling classified information. This all happened in less then a year.
How long was the investigation?
All you address here is the show after the investigation.
Now you have Hillary Clinton who the investigation has shown
There's a difference between "what the investigation has shown" and "what is reported in the media as parts of the investigation the investigators release."
Have you read the FBI's investigation?
Does she lose her job?
Notice the difference between the two quoted things above?
"Charged criminally" and "investigation has shown."
Huge difference, thankfully.
I have pictures of children on my computer.
They're all my nieces and nephews from when my siblings send their family christmas cards via email and school picture day.
But an "investigation" would show I have a large amount of kiddie pictures in a private folder on a password locked private computer.
If I were to be "charged criminally" with a computer full of kiddie images, that would be another story.
Thankfully there is a difference between "charged criminally" and "investigation has shown."
Most especially I'm thankful there is a difference between "charged criminally" and "what has been spewed by the media."
Plus they are dragging this out as long as they can
Hillary is slippery as a greased pig inside of a teflon and crisco coated snake, like her husband.
Personally, I want them to take all the time they need to make sure they have an airtight case.
Dot all "i's" cross all "t's" and get it right so there is absolutely no escape whatsoever.
She can afford the best lawyers, she has a lot of political connections, and like Obama she is a lawyer and law professor.
Any mistake, and it will unravel.
If this would have been anyone else they would be facing a lifetime prison sentence for this
But it's not anyone else.
Anyone else wouldn't have her connections, money, influence, legal knowledge, ex-president spouse, or a career full of finding ways to hide the bodies and keep them hidden.
General Patraeus...was charged criminally and sentenced to probation for a minor, trivial incident of mishandling classified information
Those were the only charges that would stick.
The prosecutors had a whole bunch of charges they would have liked to have added, but didn't feel confident in pushing them.
So they didn't file them.
They accepted a plea deal.
Do you really want plea deals to be presented to Hillary like that?
You may feel it was a "minor, trivial incident of mishandling" but the law doesn't really make that distinction.
The prosecutors decide if they want to try and prove a, b, and c, and if you're found to have done a, b, c, the consequences are 1, 2, 3.
Petraus got away with "admit to a, and we'll ignore b and c, and you will only have to do 1/4 of 1."
Personally, I want them to spend as much time as necessary to guarantee they can push a, b, and c, and give her all of 1, 2, 3.
I don't want her to get the same treatment as Petraeus.
If she pleas out she could potentially get away with pretty much everything.
