Canada has very clean election campaigns while our neighbors south of the border have long election campaigns with lots of nasty attacks.
I think that Hillary Clinton will be the next American president as Bernie Sanders has no chance to win and the Americans will not choose Trump as their future president. What is your take?. Thanks.

Going waaaaaay back to the original official reason for the thread, before the distractions...

I'd bet the reason things are more wildly insane here, is simply due to money.

There are BILLIONS more involved with who wins elections here, so more people attempt to game the system through bribery, manipulation of the news, even to the detail of planting fake "protesters" against themselves, in order to make the opposition look bad.

Canada's level of corruption is directly proportional to the money involved. Nothing to do with how saintly they are.

they also have about 10 times less people too...

Something else to keep in mind about all this, is that it is the candidates and the parties and their supporters who decide whether the election is going to be about issues, or about scandals.

For a long time now, the people running campaigns here in the US have insisted on trying to persuade people to vote based on who they fear, despise, or are "offended by."

There's not much more scandalous behavior going on now than there has ever been. In the old days, the reporters didn't bother about it, because the candidates wanted to campaign on the issues and on their proposed programs.

The fact that we have such a circus now, is because the candidates and parties WANT it that way.

Canada suffers more media censorship,
than it's citizenry is willing to admit.

The election cycles in the U.S., are longer than in Canada,
to prevent the elections of idiots like Trudy.

Doesn't always work, as we've been stuck with
idiot Obama for nearly eight years..
