Not necessarily, some people pick the lesser of what they see as two evils to support with their vote. Personally I think that is becoming more prevalent with todays electorate.

we do not have to vote, in any case

some people pick the better choice, some the least worse,, and some don't choose

if I had a choice between a date with Dahmer or bundy,, Id just stay home

unless I felt at least one was a somewhat reasonable option

Did I say we HAVE to vote???? Why are you trying to deflect from your original statement? Who you choose not to date is irrelevant. But since you bring it up do you "mirror" everyone you've ever dated?SMH

Supporting someone is what you do when you vote for them, regardless of the degree with which you support them or agree with them.

Regardless of WHY you vote for them it doesn't mean you "mirror" them, which was YOUR original contention.

If your contention were true then all billionaires would support Trump and all multimillionaires would support Hillary.

actually, yes, if I date someone, there is something about them that is a reflection of my own interests or values

which is what I mean by 'mirror',,,,I don't mean exactly duplicate,, just that they are a representation of some part of your values or interests

so, being a billionaire is just ONE thing about a person,, they may be a Christian billionaire who votes for the Christian over the billionaire,, or they may be an accountant who votes for the candidate with the best financial knowledge

they MIRROR or are representative of something about that person that is an important part of them

but getting a nomination and winning the race aren't the same thing, so time will tell

Romney won his nomination too and had much higher approval ratings,,but didn't make the home stretch

hopefully, this election will repeat the last

see here? mirror doesn't mean the sea looks EXACTLY like the sky but indicates its color is the same,, one part

You are using the definition of mirror that doesn't reflect (pun intended) or apply to YOUR original statement.

Also you are inserting the qualifier "some" in your comparisons which didn't appear in your original statement. If you would have used the same qualifier in your original post I would have agreed.
