Standoff with riot police in park as people throw bricks at officers in Milwaukee
Around 100 young adults pelted police with bricks and torched property in Milwaukee’s Sherman Park on Wednesday night, local news channel TODAY’S TMJ4 reports, citing a witness.
Police from several MPD districts, along with Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputies, made several arrests at the scene, according to Fox6Now.
Officers say someone broke the windshield of a squad car and set fire to a garbage, prompting four arrests the night before at the same location, TMJ4 reports.

Milwaukee police respond to disturbance involving up to 100 teens

As many as 100 teens threw rocks and bottles at Milwaukee police officers and a Milwaukee County Transit System bus late Wednesday night, according to Milwaukee police officials.
Milwaukee police blocked off streets near 38th and Burleigh streets, where a group of people formed. Deputies from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office assisted. Some officers wore riot gear.
Milwaukee police officials say a rock or brick was also thrown through a window at a nearby gas station.
No one was arrested. Police plan to maintain a presence in the area throughout the night.
