Dozens of people have been killed and many more were injured after a truck plowed into a crowd in Nice, France during Bastille Day celebrations.
The local police prefect has confirmed that least 30 people were dead and over 100 were injured in the crash, Reuters reported, citing BFM TV.
Sebastien Humbert, the perfect for the Alpes-Maritime area, detailed the circumstances of the crash, explaining the high number of casualties to BFM.
"A truck rammed into the crowd over a long distance, which explains this extremely heavy toll," he said.
BFM also said that authorities have classified the the incident as an “attack.”
“ There are people in blood, probably full of wounded, ” a reporter for the Nice Matin newspaper said.
According to an eyewitness report cited by BFM, the driver of the truck shouted,
“Allahu Akbar!” before the attack.""

But knives were originally(and still are)made to BE weapons and kill over 1800 people a year. So should we ban all knives, even the ones in your kitchen?
Whether it is a gun, knife, pressure cooker, box cutter or anything else, INTENT is the "weapon".

so if I intend to kill someone with a toothpick, let alone a room full of people,, do you think my chance of success is as likely as using a gun and bullets?

Your argument was about things meant to BE weapons. If you were in a room with a knife you could kill quite a few if not all if the others didn't have a "weapon" too.
In self-defense classes you learn to use any object (pens,scissors etc) as a weapon.
If you were skilled enough with a toothpick and could puncture the jugular vein, I guess you could also kill people that way laugh

there is nothing to debate.

Muslims are NOW killing none Muslims...In the name of their God. Killing them for one reason... because they are NONE MUSLIMS.. that is the only reason.

And tell who?.. go tell the families of the people killed in France yesterday.. including innocent woman and children.. tell them " by the way, Muslims are killing muslins".. so it equals out.

See what the response it to that.

And BTW, nobody really gives a s*** if the Muslims want to kill each other in a internal holy war.

Its when you start killing other faiths.. to entice a worldwide holy war. and that is exactly what they are doing.

mass toothpick killings? doubtful

knife killings are becoming quite common by terrorists in Israel and other places. The latest victim is a 13 year old girl stabbed to death sleeping in her bed by a Palestinian terrorist. There have been frequent killings of this nature because it is easier to conceal a knife than a gun.

Like most arguments by the Democrats and the left it is based on false rhetoric. Most of these legislators wouldn't know the difference between a Daisy BB gun and an AR-15.

The FACT is "assault rifles" are illegal to buy and possess in the U.S.
Assault Rifles are defined by having automatic capabilities. All hand guns and rifles sold in the U.S. are either single shot or semi-automatic.
An Ar-15 (which seems to be the weapon that is so controversial)is no different than a semi-automatic hunting rifle except that it "looks" cool.
If fact there are much more powerful(and accurate) semi-auto rifles that could have done more damage than the AR-15.

In the Orlando terror attack because of the close proximity of the victims, a semi-automatic 45 hand gun would probably have done much more damage than the Ar-15 used.

So once again we have liberal politicians talking out of their arse to demonize a specific weapon just to get votes.

If they just came out a said they want to abolish the 2nd amendment they may not get my support but at least it would be the truth.
