I'm not a dog person, never owned a dog although I like to pet them and they all seem to like me but I wouldn't describe myself by that animal. Of course since "ALL men are dogs" as women are so fond of saying then I'm a dog against my will but I couldn't tell which race. Maybe one of my exes can help with that.
I'm more into fish and turtles. The turtles that describes me best is the Matamata turtle. happy

Hmm. I've never overheard any dogs describing me to someone else, so I can't say if there's a difference from one breed to the next. Frankly, I tend to suspect that most dogs simply categorize us humans according to function.

Depends on you and if you can offer the breed what it requires. There are rescues and pounds full of purebred dogs because the precious owners could not provide their needs and they proved to be "difficult"!
I have various breeds and each require different care and activity levels.
If you cannot provide everything for them, then please don't get one just because they are "cute".

Mmmm think I'll go for Spaniel - loves long walks but likes nothing better than a snuggle on the sofa, eagerly awaits loved one returning home and always has a lovely present ready - but with a tendency to wiggle bottom and leak on the carpet with the excitement hahaha
