There is a new type of Zombie I see regularly when I ride my bike -

The MOBILE PHONE ZOMBIE !!

They shuffle along, or slowly walk with their head down looking at their little screen, barely aware of their surroundings, oblivious to joggers, prams, and push bikes, and some can manage to change direction without looking up, using some sort of third eye in the top of their head, or ESP, or hovering drone for guidance.
Occasionally they have ear buds in, and those are particularly ignorant of their surroundings. They can appear singly, in pairs, and erratic groups.
Sometimes they inexplicably stop in their tracks or change direction, and can without warning, wave their electronic idol about, moaning about 'signal', or 'sunshine glare', and sometimes 'battery'.

It used to always be moaning about 'brains'.

I had several try to do slow motion suicide runs in front of me on cycle paths, but it won't help them, because they are already mostly dead from brain rot.

I saw high concentrations of young zombies at the coast for some reason, maybe the water stopped them, and they pile up there. At least they are not much bother, unless they mass and block the way.

Like with Triffids, I think hosing them down with sea water may disperse them. :)
