Liberals guilty of “white privilege” in Mother Theresa debate

Mother Teresa of Calcutta was just canonized. The tiny nun was made a saint in the Catholic Church. So naturally the criticisms from people who are not Catholic are rolling in.

There are some arguably fair criticisms about the little Albanian force of nature that devoted her life to the poorest of the poor, the sick and dying in the slums of Calcutta, India.

Some left wing critics say her hospitals were substandard. Some say she took money from dubious sources like dictators and financiers to do her charity work.

Apparently taking money from those types is only okay if you use it for the Clinton Foundation, not helping the sick.

But the worst liberal criticism of Mother Teresa has to be that she held Catholic values.

Yes, Mother Teresa opposed abortion and birth control despite pressure from Westerners to change her views. She didn’t see the poor people of Calcutta as without value or dignity. She didn’t think poor people were better off never to have been born.

And this might be the one instance that I will admit that white privilege is a real thing: When white western liberals want to place population controls on poor Indians.

Consider it another Mother Teresa Miracle.

So only myself & a few Spirtual Canadians, find it appauling to slam Mother Theresa, for being offically delcared a SAINT.
