The only logical reason I can imagine to boycott an entertainer or artist or business person or other, because of who they vote for or advovcate in support of, is if they declare that all of their income from their performances or business practices, is going to be funneled into getting someone elected who I was seriously opposed to.

In short, it's a matter of intelligent practicality.

So. When business people declare that they like Trump, since I am one of the many who think he will be a destructive force against the best interests of the United States if he wins, unless they ALSO declare that they are giving all the money I spend on their products and services to Trump, I see no reason to "boycott" them.

And no, I don't think all celebrities and entertainers and so on should "shut up" as though it's none of their business who wins an election. It's just as much their business as it is anyone elses. If you want entertainers to shut up, you must also demand that all OTHER business and political people shut up as well, since ALL of them are speaking out for the exact same reason: they hope that whatever influence they have by way of their notoriety or financial or political power, will translate to persuading others to vote in people who they like.

There's very little that's MORE anti-American, than declaring that one segment of the legal society should be prohibited from speaking their minds.

i actually boycott companies that pay famous people to promote their products... the main reason being that it costs them so much to use a celebrity, and the money comes from the consumers who buy their products... as far as political boycotts, i really don't care which star is on what side, this is America and everyone has a right to their opinion... unless they are liberals, then they only want to hear from people that agree with them and anyone that doesn't is just an idiot... hillary just confirmed(as if it needed confirming) this with her "trump supporter" speech a few nights ago..

To be fair, they can voice it all they want...it's actually when they use their status to promote views as being the only right view is when I want to tell them to shut up. Their hypocrisy of backing the "little man" while never actually having been one, is hilarious....hence the assistant remark.
I'll take the view of someone working 50-60 hours a week while raising a family and getting raped on taxes before I'll listen to a Sean Penn, or Rosie O'Donnel or God forbid, a Michael Moore. Shut up and sing, act, or dance monkies.
