A 15-year-old girl and a 69-year-old man got into a scuffle in the elevator of the No. 1 line in Upper Manhattan
Mind the generation gap!
A 69-year-old man with a cane and a 15-year-old girl came to blows after the teen tried to push past the older man in an Upper Manhattan subway elevator Tuesday afternoon, police sources said.
Fabio Herrera, 69, and the teen, whose name hasn't been released because of her age, were riding the elevator at the W. 191st St. station of the No. 1 line, when she shoved him aside so she could exit first, sources said.
Herrera pushed back, and the teen socked him in the face, sources said. Herrera then hit the teen in the face with his cane, cutting her forehead.
Police arrested both, charging them with felony assault.
Herrera was arraigned in Manhattan criminal court and released on his own recognizance until his next appearance Nov. 15.
The teen, who was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, was charged in family court, sources said.
