Not saying, ' NO' is saying 'YES'
So there is absolutely no room for tolerance, live and let live, compromise, respecting the decisions of others, or getting along.
If my kid says to me "I want to have sex with my girlfriend," then if I don't say "no!" if I don't actively oppose him wanting to have sex with his girlfriend...well that "must" mean I want him to have sex with his girlfriend, and by not actively trying to keep him from his girlfriend then he should take that to mean I want to help him have sex with her.
So when he comes home and says "hey dad! My girlfriend is pregnant!" and I say "huh?" he is justified in saying "well, it's all thanks to you, you pushed me into it by not locking me in my room after I hit puberty! You didn't say no, so you were saying yes!"
That's a great philosophy believing not saying "no" is saying "yes."
Helps make things black and white and absolute. Us or them. With me or against me. Such a safe place to be.
When does Freedom of Speech become Abuse to others
Practically speaking, when it fulfills a legal definition of abuse, harm, or abridging the rights of someone else?
When does one persons opinion become absolute?
Who's asking it to be? Other than those getting mad over flag stepping/stomping/immolation and wanting some sort of legal protection, retribution or something to happen to those doing it?
I mean "I also believe in Flag protocol...Somethings are just to be respected...IMHO The Flag is one of them."
You are basically saying "my opinion, my belief in flag protocol, should be absolute, universal, that everyone should respect it."
When did "Freedom of Speech" involve destroying actual property?
The revolutionary war? Lots of destruction of actual property in the name of protecting or expressing rights.
The Boston tea party?
Women burning their bras?
Men burning their draft cards?
Fireworks on the fourth of July?
Cutting down a tree to celebrate a religious holiday?
Sometime around then?
Correct me if I am wrong but where in the Constitution does Freedom of Speech condone property to be destroyed or has there been a new Amendment?
The constitution doesn't condone speaking, art, or the internet, either.
You want to outlaw anything that isn't specifically condoned by the constitution?
