The Wind that shakes the Barley

Michael Collins

The long good Friday

You might know 'Some mother's son'? It was on the telly Friday night.

Yes another good one, most films made about here are usually a load of old tat, "Hunger" was another...

Or The Guard. That press conference ... rofl

Jurassic Park (all of 'em)
Jurassic World (both)

Independence Day (both) but the first with Will Smith... him dragging the alien through the desert, cussing and swearing a lot cos he is PO, then shouting "And what is that goddammed smell!!" hahaha.

Olympus has fallen is on tonight. ..again.
Those poor american people don't have much luck!
What with volcanos in new York, ice age in day after tomorrow, earthquakes and monsters noway

Yeah and usually only their country is affected or mentioned.

I watched the Norwegian "The Wave" and "The Quake" (sequel) the other day. I never knew that Norway has an extremely high risk of earthquakes! Logical in a way, as that's how they got the fjords I believe?
But still... Who'd expect that, in northern Europe.

I'm eagerly waiting for the 3rd installment in the "fallen" series, Angel has Fallen, air date 22 August. But I'll have to wait longer of course, unless I go see it in theatre.

Will be worth the wait.
We had a big earthquake here in Colchester years ago, I think it was about the same time as your floods without checking.

Wow, didn't know, although I do recall something about quakes up north in England or Scotland, but that was long time ago.
The one you mean was in 1884 (I Googled). The flood here was in 1954, you had flooding in London then. After that we helped you build the Thames flood gates.
