Chris the OO is the Who, Cockney lad you see,
Sumfink like de Pretty Fings,
Taking a Ball & Chalk,up the Apple & Pears,

It must have been incredible to see the Who in the early 60's! I was watching a clip of the concert for New York to benefit the first responders after 9/11 & it blew my mind to see firemen and other men in uniform rocking out to their music. I heard somewhere that they were one of the first groups to say yes.

That reminds me of another performer I wish i had seen - Joe Cocker. There's a great clip on you tube of him performing the Randy Newman song "You Can Leave Your Hat On" -the sax player will blow you away.

The only time I had seen Joe Cocker, was in a London Pub,the place was packed, and who was in the Pub getting slowly Smashed-Mr Cocker, the band was hot, and as the evening drew on, he slid up to the stage and just simply blew the place away,What a Performance, pure energy,
God rest his Soul.
Isn't wonderful the way Music can can break through Distance, and get people talking who are thousands of Miles apart. As I said previously
don't pay to much heed to my profile-just went through a very bad patch. As FZ says on Joe's Garage, Music is the best.smokin

Indeed it is - what would we do without music? It would be a sad world that's for sure...

I saw Joe Cocker at the Temple theater in Tacoma I had 4th row seats back in the late 90's ,it was a excellent show. I also saw Roy Orbison at the Paramount in the 90's that was one of those shows that you never forget.
