I tend to not like to shave, because of scars on my face from having to shave with terrible acne as a teenager. I don't care to have bandages on my face from me cutting myself. Doesn't matter how careful and slow I try to shave. I still manage to bleed.

Last I knew, women don't seem to find bloody, cuts on face or bandages sexy.
So that is why I grow my goatee, beard or sometimes just trim my face down to stubble with electric trimmer.

Women don't like my facial hair...ohwell oh well. They're not wearing it, and frankly I could care less because obviously they are not right for me.

LOL, WOW
Great topic!

My X liked me with a short goatee and very short, military cut hair.
I didn't mind so I gave her what she wanted.

After X, I have had very long hair and clean shaven, long hair with goatee and long hair with mustache only.

Now, I get my hair cut short in the spring, it gets super hot where I live now. I tend to just let it grow with a few trims here and there to keep it even till the next spring.

This year, around the beginning of Oct, I decided to just let my facial hair grow out as it wanted, just to see if women noticed me more. They do.

Come spring, I will likely go back to goatee and short hair. I don't mind shaving and trimming.

Eventually, when my someone special finds me I will adopt any grooming style she wants to see. I want her to love looking at me.

This is the first time in my life that I allowed my facial hair to grow. I merely trim around my mouth. Where the hair isn't growing is not because I shave it. A natural beard. I considered trimming it down in length but decided against it. Kinda want to see what it looks like this spring.

Thank you for asking catinidaho and you are welcome.

And partly because I ate the break reservoir on the handle bars on a hill climb many years back.

Well .. in our climate it gives an advantage .. keeps your face warm .. especially when riding a motorbike.
Beard is something which comes with an age, something you must earn, so I'm pretty happy with mine.
True - you might look older with a beard, but that means you have a life experience and wisdom, and from behind of those "curtains" it's pretty safe to look at all the hustle of this world ..
Also bearded men live longer, coz they don't have to waste their time for shaving .. lol

And to all those women, who don't like bearded men ..

I have had a beard for most of my life. It started with a group of coworkers. I have a motorcycle, a party barge and I hunt, so, it seems natural to have a beard.

It seams like around where I live, Idaho/Montana/Utah, guys grow a winter Beard. In Spring, they shave. I wonder why?

Not every guy grows a winter beard, but I see it a lot.

The main reason is that women take the winter clothes off when the sun starts to shine bright in spring .. overheating prevention lol

Theres something about feeling a few days beard growth under my fingernails... Reminds me of sharp pins pricking my skin...

Or lightly running my fingernails through a thick beard and scratching lightly...

Makes me purrr... *blinkblink*

well, to tell you all the truth that's why I have no pic up. I have " Wolfman syndrome" (hairius aloturus.. the medical term). and its not really too bad, just when the full moon comes out... then.. well, then a Bic Shaver doesn't do it.. I turn to the weed Wacker.

For the men on here- Why do you shave your face? For other men - Why do you decide to grow a beard? I'm just curious. What happened, in your opinion, when you made that choice?

I only shave to make myself look younger. like when I find a hot cougar that wants to show her boobies to a young guy

I sported a beard for decades. As to why I grew a beard in the first place, I'm not sure - but after years and years, a beard practically becomes part of your personality.

Went clean shaven a couple of years ago. Why? To be honest... probably vanity - as I didn't like how gray it had become. Lol.

My son has a beard - so maybe some men have beards, as they've seen their father with a beard all their life and it just seems natural to them to follow example. Maybe? Dunno.

Night-time temps are reaching 65 degrees. When they average 70 degrees I will be shaving off the beard.
I guess it will be time to update my main profile pic.

Maybe I'll just shave half and take a pic? That might be interesting...? LOL

With temps in the +100s in the summer, I'll be shaving my head as well. Not bald (sunburn) but pretty short.

facial hair changes the whole image of a man and my guess is they know it too...

Yeah; I know three guys that have a beard and they do it to make themselves look older. It works; they do look older. I have a few older male friends and I swear they look 10 years younger when they removed their beards.
