Absolutely, we have a similar problem, not with the social media side but opposite parties stirring things and twisting things. They will always say the opposite even if they don't believe it. In the debates leading up to your elections it is refreshing to hear someone say it as it is. Hope it works out and he can get jobs back to the more manual side of industry, that always suffers due to cheap foreign labour same as it does here. People mostly want to pay less and companies want to make more so it's a difficult one. time will tell.

you have to check that their record matches what they say, that they have some history with it,, otherwise they say what their base wants to hear

like Trump saying Hillary would be a great president before he ran and that she would be in jail after he ran

campaigns are money and marketing,, not that they dont also include truth, some questions are direct enough that the only answer is the facts or a lie, but they all have to appease the instant gratification of the public in order to get into office and what they REALLY want to accomplish

only way to know that with some certainty is checking their actual record of ACTION,,,
