however, judgment is a complex thing in and of itself.
I can 'judge' an action as careless, such as leaving a purse in an unlocked car. The person doing such a thing may be having a one off, and may normally be the most careful person in the world, however.
I can 'judge' a person's words, or the view they express with their words as 'sexist' is expressing a sexist opinion(assigning quality based on sex). For example, someone saying women should like pink and guys should like blue would be expressing a sexist opinion. The person saying such a thing may think the world of women and/or men, however.
In both situations, there are people that would use that action or those words to ASSESS those people as human beings, and there are human beings that assume the judgments of their action or words was an assessment of them as people.
How do we separate and communicate effectively the subtle differences between our opinions of people's words and actions and our opinion of those people themselves?
