I can not seem to let this go ...
I believe how ... we need to get this changed ...
there really is so much fraud & corruption in our voting system ...
this is nothing new ... but it seems more severe now ...
I never new how they where able to corrupt our government...
as bad as I know now ... I have a real hard time...
feeling my vote or any others votes count ... and worth voting
again in my life time in the President elections ... this is not about the sitting president...
Trump ... just how some have learned ...
from the past even is corrupt...

is there any ideas how to get this back to good ...
and I am not the only one to want this ...I am sure ...
or I am the first to say this ...

If I am not mistaken you would basically have to change the constitution of the United States.. and that is not going to happen.

I read the rule needed once to actually do that.. and it was near impossible.

vote for intelligent people who have done 'good' things,,,our elected are just human beings like those who vote for them and a reflection of those who vote for them

require all advertising have resume format,,that is only factual details about the candidates achievemenents and experience and not information about the other candidates,,,,,

you cant get a job smearing other job candidates,, elections should be the same

the question should be, why SHOULD you have the position, not why SHOULDNT the other person,,,

same with debates, answers should be restricted to first person and personal responses from the person being addressed and should NOT include any answers bashing or presuming what the other candidates have or would do

The electoral college was created by the founding fathers to prevent illiterate people from making a mistake and electing someone unsuitable. I find this somewhat ironic nowadays.

So all we have to do is get the original founding fathers to rewrite it... simple.

the founding fathers would be too 'corrupt' by today's standards

they also would be unelectable with their many 'scandals',,marital and otherwise,,,,

The EC works well as designed. I wouldn't want California calling the shots in national elections. noway

leaving is an option, though not very realistic or achievable for most people,, particularly moving to another country

but more realisticaly,, nothing will ever be perfect, no place will ever be perfect

lets build on what works and improve what doesn't,, instead of having an all or nothing approach,,,

they need to keep the electoral college but for the first round of votes
they prevent the electors from voting

it is automatic no switching the vote because they want to

if there comes time a time when no candidate gets enough votes there
should be a run off election between the 2 top vote getters (electrol)

i do not want this country to be run by only the high populated areas of
the country and that is one of the reasons the electrolal collage is in
place to spread the wealth of the vote (so to speak)

it seems most complain that the wealth is control by a few people and now
they want the vote to be controled by a few locations

you are acting like the govt you complain about it while reintroducing
the same issue into another avenue of peoples lives

as a child, I did not see the need to learn about civics and government

now I feel as if it should be being taught from a young age(without bias, which will be difficult to achieve) so by the time people are old enough to vote, the mud slinging popularity contest will only work with a small percentage, and the rest will actually understand the governments checks and balances and what (out of the candidates words) can actually be accomplished or is actually even in their power, and they perhaps will read more on the candidates actual history of civic duty as well

which I think is a SERIOUS indicator for any figure, that their life has shown a dedication to 'civil' service or community service or trying to improve the lives of fellow Americans in some way (not counting hiring people for the business that makes them money)

I believe that has to do with what they are talking know ... if churches do not want to pay taxes ... they should not be involved in politics ... so I heard ...
