Just watching the news and it was reported that the people of Boston United States arranged for pizzas to be delivered to hospitals in Manchester United Kingdom for the children injured in Mondays bombing!

The BBC news and sky both said hospital

It was sent via the Manchester paper as they couldn't send it direct
Not really sure why I'm talking about it!

Ohh it was the Boston Globe that sent pizza to the reporters

If it truly reached the victims, well I am sure the children would be happy. It was a generous and thoughtful thing to do, somehow it would alleviate the pain they have experienced and warm their hearts. happy :heart:

After TxsGal's post I searched online to see if I could find anything and was unable to do so. However, in my opinion, that doesn't mean it didn't happen the way Mikey said based on what he heard on the news.

I see what you're saying TxsGal about wanting the whole story and respect your opinion concerning who you think it should have been sent to instead.

But, I don't think this was about Headline News or something that required getting "the facts" straight. It's about Mikey wanting to share something he heard on the news concerning a kindness act clear across the World. About how people in America care and wanted to do something nice.

I have a hard time understanding those when someone sends a gift to someone else, people want to judge that act, or say that others are more deserving....rather than simple finding the beauty in it.

It was actually sent from the news media Boston Globe due to they are the ones that handled the bombing at the Boston Marathon.... therefore they sent it to them as a kind jester... Which is awesome..

I agree, it was awesome. Maybe the news people on tv got the story mixed up, who knows? I read the article you posted and it was very touchy, and so sad that all this is happening.

Read a story while I was looking about two homeless men, that was sleeping near by where the bomb went off.. They did not leave but ran to help many of those that was hurt... till help arrived.. The town has started a fund to help get them off the streets...

That's really touching. Those men are very honorable and testament that there are really good people out there. Sometimes it's hard to see when there's so much hate and discord going on around us.
