their Cranium is stuck in the wrong place!
Not enough Lithium/Cobalt for the Batteries, and not enough Rare Earth-Minerals for the Motor-Magnets!
Just not enough stuff to go around!
Besides, some of those Ingredients are outright poisonous!
Lithium is more reactive than Sodium!
Good luck when it (Battery) catches fire!
Makes a lot of sense^
Magnets are needed for motors and generators.
Motors work from electromagnetic repulsion.
Generators work from electromagnetic induction.
It might be interesting to list methods of propulsion and discuss the ramifications of each? Who knows what we might figure out?
Animal Power - Mankind has used animal power for conveyance for a few thousand years. Its slow but fairly reliable.
Steam Power - Anyone wanna talk about a steampunk version of the future?
Burning Fossil Fuels / Internal Combustion - Our current standard.
Electrical - Solar, wind and water generated requiring batteries for portability.
Nuclear - Not practical for the application, too dangerous.
Hydrogen - basically using rocket fuel.
Walking - baseline human conveyance.
Teleportation - not even close to being commercially available.
Mechanical Compounding - Using gears from human work to amplify power or speed (think 18 speed bicycles beefed up).
Telecommuting & Virtual Presense - Does not actually move matter from one location to another.
Floating in Air - high tech hot air balloons
Everything else I can think of are more science fiction than probable real science.
