1986 was the last big storm that caused big damage kinda mini hurricane, apart from that it's usually heavy rain then localised flash flooding that causes damage. Like people have said, we usually get the tail end of your weather.

That's the problem here. We have lots of American made documentaries, storm chasers, plane crashes, kids with tiaras, my crib and the list goes on. looks a lot different on tv! By far the best way to watch a hurricane is on tv, if it gets to bad you can turn it off
