no. in this 'job' their 'job' is not about making people money, so stricter rules can apply and I imagine, clearer contracts are written up and signed.

Their "job" is to play football. That is what ticket holders and sponsors pay them for

their job is whatever their contract calls for, which is not just about 'playing football', or they would not have a pregame ritual that is about pledging allegiance, THAT is not football, that is politics.

The problem is...it is ok for one side but not the other. Tebow was bashed for praying but now these players wants their side only and God forbid...anyone oppose them. They want the 1st amendments (even though they are in uniform "on the job") but no one has a right to pull sponsorship or boycott? Ridiculous.

I dont recall saying anyone got away. I pointed out the fact that its about making money as much as it is about playing football. Tebows action was also not 'playing football' but it didnt offend enough 'snowflakes' to risk the owners pockets,, so his career continued.

Kaepernick was not 'playing football' when he likewise quietly knealt, but that action was more offensive to that same base, risking the bottom line , so he was quietly dismissed from his career ...

I dont think it would be an issue if ALL that happened to Kaepernick was some 'bashing'.
