You could make some educational displays showing polished and rough sections of rock. I have some on cards with various useful information, they look good, and are good memory refreshers for geology students.
Or
suitably clean them up and cast in clear casting resin, as arty curios.

That's a big one! Nice.... I have large quartz crystal conglomeration.. Not sure of its weight.. It sits on top of the cabinet that holds all the old family memories.

I used to collect dirt.
No, seriously, little bags of dirt.

I started out thinking I would make a display of them like a souvenir shelf.

I collected about a teaspoon of dirt when I visited a new location.
When I discarded the idea, I had 31 different bags of dirt from all over the world, one from each city or country I visited.
Not only did they look different, you could smell the difference.

I thought I would take my dirt, some pictures I took and make a place on the shelf for that place. Print up a card that told the date I was there and other details.

There isn't many people that share an interest in dirt.
You can make jewelry and art with polished rocks but with dirt...well, its a dirty subject.

I gave up my dirt collection years ago.
Now I collect dust...

I have pet rocks, Bernie, Fran, Norton, Sally and Jess. I had Milton but he pissed me off so I chucked him in the river.

When I was little I threw a rock across the yard and hit the neighbor kid on the head and made him bleed.
He went home crying and his mom called my mom and I got a whippin.
A few days later, I threw a rock at the same kid from the street and hit him in the head again.
He went home crying and his mom called my mom and I got a whippin.
About a month later, I threw a rock at that kid to see if I could hit him in the head three times in three throws and I hit him in the head and he went home crying.
His dad called my dad and dad bought me a baseball and glove.
