Jesus has his last meal with his disciples, and he told them what's the meaning of the bread and the wine. So we must do what they have write for us today. Maybe the word wine is the problem. I think that there is wine without alcohol. Go read Mathew 26:17-30. Pray before read.

Another thing is, 'wine', was accustom to a Jewish life, available during meals and celebrations. It was not for getting drunk and having wild parties, but taken moderately in order to celebrate significant events. And this does not apply to non-Christians, but even Christians commemorating JESUS' suffering, death, resurrection and the New Covenant given and made by GOD with us Christians.

Thank you and may GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST bless you.

I'm sure , as Articulate and Accurate, as Are the words that formed the bible, If this Wine , was Not, Fermented, ( alchol) Based, he would said this is so, He would have called it Perhaps, The fruit of the Vine
tree, ( but you see we, ( the people,) are the Fruit of the Vine Tree.

I agree with the last comment made, Jews, Catholic's,
alot of different Cultures, do share with Wine one with another, During,
family feasting, Dinner's and Occasions, to get Drunk, is the sin,
To over eat, is a sin, it's called Gluttony, to Over Indulge, in anyone thing,is where the sin, takes over, It's a form or Lack thereof, of Self Control.

All things must be done in Moderation. He does, altho, allow it,
here is one Exception

biblehub.com/proverbs/31-6.htm

Give (strong drink) to him who is perishing.
And (wine) to him whose life is bitter. ... 7Let him drink and forget his poverty And remember his trouble no more. ... And wine which makes man's heart glad, So that he may make his face glisten with oil, ...

Also is written, is better to not drink alcohol, because you can speak things under cotrol of the alchol. A preacher don't have to drink, why because when you are under the influence of the alchol, the devil is standing there waiting the right moment to talk about the words od God.

The Christians has forgotten that Jesus said, that he don't drink wine anymore till everybody who has past through the doorgate in heaven. We must follow our master step. Specially the one who are preaching the gospels.

I don't know of any Bible verse which says that.
