you didn't leave any songs left!
Pretty much. The whole idea of you posting ALL the songs sucks the fun out of the thread for anyone else who might have considered posting here. It's also another reason why I dislike you posting 20 links in one post. I remember starting a musical thread and you chased me off MY OWN THREAD with your posting style.
First, I didn't post ALL the songs.
Second, After you told me, I tried to restrain my enthusiasm.
It has to do with my personality. Alcoholic parents and all that jazz. I always over-do, go the extra mile, try to complete the task 150%.
Thing is, when something is posted, it remains there for others to see, use, read at their own pace. Its a repository. An index of choices. As for songs with video links, I give a list as a resource for others to listen or not.
Music is personal.
It isn't really a competitive sport. There is no winner or loser. You either like the song or you don't. If and when (and I do) I see a list of songs that I don't want to listen to, I just scroll past and move to the next one that I do like and click that link. There are many songs I don't like but I don't say anything because others might like them. All I do is give a choice.
As for songs at ten plus minutes, I gave the specifications in the first post. Which means, there can be multiple versions of the same song at different durations.
Its basically, search for your song,
Look at the duration,
Find the version you like
and post it.
Not really that hard to understand.
Personally, I like instrumental solos.
Songs over 10 minutes usually have long instrumental solos.
Many of those songs are live versions of songs that are not 10 minutes long on the studio cut.
Not qualifying for this topic is The Doobie Brothers ~ Long Train Running. None are over 10 minutes but there are versions that are different lengths and in different styles.
Here are Six in one playlist:
