Some of what you’re smoking please mate.

But seriously, I’ve had a few things happen in my house, it’s very old mind you.
Doors closing on their own, loud bangs like something has fallen yet everything is still in place.
The smell of incense burning.

Doesn’t happen often, but freaky when it does.
I’m not sure what to make of it.

In 56 years I have yet to encounter anything paranormal or as proof of extraterrestrial visitation.
The main word in UFO is UNIDENTIFIED. If it is unidentified, that means you are not able to identify it. That's all.
Isn't there a reward of a million dollars to anyone that can provide proof of a paranormal encounter? As far as I know, that money has yet to be collected.

oh wait...
The One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge was an offer by the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) to pay out one million U.S. dollars to anyone who can demonstrate a supernatural or paranormal ability under agreed-upon scientific testing criteria. A version of the challenge was first issued in 1964. Over a thousand people applied to take it, but none were successful. The challenge was terminated in 2015.

The Universe is a strange place. And...BIG.
Chaos can bring any number of conditions together at any given time to show an unexpected result to an observer not expecting a specific result. Weird stuff happens. Consider quantum's spooky conditions. Just cause we don't fully understand the reason doesn't mean it has any significance to paranormal.

I saw a ball of a light in the sky that did things that a plane or a helicopter couldn't do. I worked in a tavern restaurant that had our a break room downstairs, and it was occupied by a ghost of a civil war solider.

And things like this can be freaky if you aren't used to it.

There are things that no one can explain, but did happen. From out of this world, or from the other side. If you're open in your mind to know its perceivable, possible, you will see and experience it.

I'll never tell anyone what happened couldn't, wouldn't or you've lost your bat crap mind.

I'm actually sensitive to such things as the spiritual world.

Yeah definitely some activity going on there. Sounds more like a poltergeist then a regular spiritual haunting.

Just pray it continues to do only those things.

There is really no bad energy in her house and when it happens, my daughter just acknowledges it. I went to see a spiritualist and she told me that it was my aunt who was visiting her children and was letting the family know that she was there. I was also told that my brother (who only passed last year) visits too which we find quite comforting.

Forgot to mention that my eldest grandson told my daughter that he speaks to a lady in his bedroom. I showed him a picture of my aunt who supposedly is 'visiting' but he didn't recognise her.

That's awesome!

My Dad died when I was 13.

One of my grand daughters when she was about 5 , told my son and daughter in law on a few occasions that a " nice man" talks to her sometimes when she is going to sleep. At first they were concerned but as it went on they just thought it a kid's imagination as she was never afraid or frightened by this.

One day I sent some old photos I had down to my son for him to keep. I only had one photo of my father, but I sent it. My son never had any so I thought it right to do.

When my son and daughter in law were looking at the various family photo's I sent my little Granddaughter came in and said. That's him!.. that the man who talks to me, as she picked up the photo of my father. And my son said she smiled as she looked at the picture. She had no idea that photo was her great grandfather...none. And she was not frightened at all.

Some things you just can't explain.

Been thinking on this subject a bit.
I have a few questions for anyone that believes paranormal experiences.

First I need to explain that I don't really care if you believe what you experience or not. I don't live in your head so what I think isn't really important. I'm just trying to understand...

Is the paranormal experience universal?
What I mean is, if there are 5 people in the same location at the same time, do all experience the same thing?
This would indicate that the paranormal display is happening without personal reasons. It would indicate such things happen no matter who is witnessing them and may even happen without a witness.

Is the paranormal experience a 'tuned' ability?
Is it something that only one person can detect? That others only recognize it after the event is pointed out by someone that can detect it.

Is the paranormal experience third-party or first-hand?
Do you believe because you witnessed it yourself or because you believe someone else's accounting? Does such belief endow you with a "tuned" perception?

What is the emotional state of the person witnessing a paranormal encounter?
Does it scare, is there fear involved? Many people fear the unknown and allow that fear to run rampant.
Is it utter joy? When you smile, your eyes squint a little. Might that be a trigger to allow you to see things that are normally not seen?

Is there physical proof after the paranormal experience?
Can you catch and hold that balloon? If you hold its tail and pop the balloon, does the piece remain in your fingers? Can you put it in an envelope and mail it? Are there balloons in your house?

I know there are no balloons in my house. If a balloon appeared in my house it would be perplexing and I would chase that balloon, catch it and examine it. I would pop it, take the pieces and mail them to myself. If they arrived a few days later, the balloon was a reality and there had to be a physical reason it was in my house at that time. If the envelope arrived still sealed with no balloon fragments inside, the balloon was purely in my imagination.

I have lived in many different places and have heard many different things I couldn't explain. Houses creak and slam, rattle and pop. They settle as they age.
I've seen a glass slide off a table and crash onto the floor with nobody around it. I have has dishes fall out of cupboards, nicnacs fall off shelves and pictures fall off walls. Never once did I see the reverse.

I definitely have experienced telepathy and one out of body experience first hand...one example of telepathy: my boyfriend at the time was coming up from another state to visit me. I was alone at the house waiting. I had a thought just jump into my head out of the blue "Damn! Phone's dead!" this sort of thing had happened b4 and I just knew my boyfriends cell phone was dead and he had tried to call...

Not five minutes later the phone rings, it's him telling me he's at a gas station about 20 minutes away and he's cell phone was dead and he'd be there soon. I just told him: "Yeah, I know." Some call it feminine intuition, telepathy who knows...doesn't happen to me all the time or with people I don't know and I have never thought of myself as "psychic"...but in relationships where I am really close to that special one, I will just know things when they are happening to that other person. Later, I tell them and they usually are shocked...last time it happened with a girlfriend and she was a certified psychologist who didn't believe in that stuff...until she started going out with me...changed her beliefs for sure!

I do think as far as your question of being more how'd u put it, like in tune, or with special abilities, yes I believe some people are further evolved than others, like the mutants in my favorite xmen movies. So much of our brain is supposedly not even used that it's quite possible that the few of us with these sensitivities or "powers" or "gifts" or "curses" or what ever adjective you'd like to use are simply born differently with those capabilities...

I have taken old fashioned film photos of dull reddish purple spiral shaped whispy things in the dark, where there was nothing, and no light. Just pointed and clicked in the darkness with no flash, and got them, what I assume to be ghosts. Probably asa 200 film, with a wide aperture.

This was on a midnight tour of an old disused colonial jail, with a hanging platform, and many graves on site.
