America, close your eyes and I want you to think what was your most memorial news, hot tea topic or the most heart felt news we had this year? Was it the Hurricane in Texas? Was it the recent attack in Paris? was it something in politics? Trump? the great hurricane of Puerto Rico? Did you witness police insubordination? What about the tension with the confederate flag & monument? I want to hear your feedback. This is the time I want to spend letting you voice the good , the bad , & the ugly of 2017. So lets rap a minute, tell me your most wildest news you read or watched in 2017.

Well to answer my own question, I think the one that touched me the most in 2017 had to be the hurricanes of Texas & the Puerto Rico. I feel as people in this great country, whatever state you resides in we should pull together to help out our fellow citizen's as much as we can. How we can be the most powerful nation in the world, the greatest army, the most innovated scientist in the world but we seem to neglect home. The Puerto Rican hurricane the government handle that very shitty if you asked me. Who cares if they not in the union or not we are a nation of godly love. supposed our state was under water, wiped out, no food sources, no shelter, no voice, I bet somebody would be on the phone making a call right? 2018 we have to take care of our neighbors around the world. Its not about race, but it is about a we thing! We the people, we have the power to make things happen. In 2018 I want to see more unity. More democracy, more action for the people. I'm not afraid of little green men in spaceships, I have enough fear of my government here.

There is just to much wrong all around the world that I believe I'll leave this one be.

Happy new year Host39, and everybody else here. Wether we agree or disagree we should all try our best to be civil in our discussions. Politics is a dirty game but we are not polititions . We are a sample of this nation giving our opinions and trying to understand the reasoning of others.... Now , after saying all that I think the good is the election of Trump. In my opinion we needed a president that wasn't as forgiving for bad actions as Obama was. Someone with a tough response to country's threatening America or our allies . Someone that puts America and it's citizens first.... The bad was when the Obama justice dept. went after a navy machinist on a sub. taking a picture of classified equip. ( his sleeping quarters) and putting him in jail, all at the same time they were " investigating " Hillary and Huma for much worse and they get off Scott free. What a shameful and dispicable act. ... The ugly has got to be the way the democrats carried on after the election, childish , immature and self centered.... So here's looking forward to a new year filled with positive news and plenty of winning for our country.

the good ... people coming together after natural disasters, people protesting and standing up for others

the bad ... AMerica electing someone who not only has no civil qualifications, but puts on display to the world such a vile and disgusting, offensive mouth, and sickening displays of narcissism

the ugly ... the constant persecution of men over the issue of 'harassment'

Welcome back, yeah it was a lot of harassments going on. as you can see I stay up with political news and I even do current events as well. its important to follow these stuff and not to be oblivion to ignorance when it comes to what's going on. feel me

I do. The issue is that the overwhelming immersion of sources that report these events include a good amount of implied and subliminal opinion that almost seems to brainwash people into a fugue state of negativity and hopelessness/distrust.

What could we do if we were more of a results driven culture than a blame driven one?

Yes, some police abuse their authority. What are we gonna do along with all the police who don't to reinforce a duty to protect including deescalating situations when possible?

Yes, some people cannot afford healthcare without taking on huge debt and credit destruction. But how can we assure healthcare is something accessible across socioeconomic status? How can we work with the medical community and the pharmaceutical companies to think about the patients as well as the profits and come up with reasonable and truly affordable options?

Yes, some people enter the US illegally. But what can we DO to address these people without disrupting the lives of those who have been productive and law abiding and entered without the ability to consent(When they were children)?

Yes, some people do not believe in same sex marriage. And we were told if you don't believe in it don't have one. But how do we ensure that is ALL it is? And that we don't force people to operate their businesses in contrast to their very deeply held religious doctrine regarding what they should or should not take part in?

Yes, some anatomical males 'feel' like women, and some anatomical females 'feel' like men. But how do we help them coexist with those who are actually(anatomically) males and females in a way that does not force them to be uncomfortable in private surroundings with those who are NOT?

I wonder why we have to go around and around with BLAMING instead of trying to understand and come to reasonable and fair solutions.

I had a wonderful experience here the other day, a rare one, with someone that was able to discuss and debate differing points of view without namecalling, placing blame, or being 'offended'. I wish that was more of the norm than the exception.

Welcome back, yes what a year. You know the mid elections are coming up? its still time to change the look of American politics. I want to see 2018 to be a way better year. Unfortunately, as time moves forward the " Great Culling Is Coming" if you want to know what I mean research it. That's homework to all. But what I can say trumps mess will continue. we have to have a form of faith to live thru this.

The relocation of the United States of America's embassy from Telaviv to Jerusalem and the ripple effects was the hot topic for me.
During the election campaigns, I did mention here that America's foreign policy thrust under Donald Trump was going to be controversial if he wins.
This president doesnt just talk the 'talk but works the talk'.
As an international observer, I think we'll see more controversial decisions that may make America's European allies uncomfortable this 2018.
I think president Trump is a very strong man.
Does been a world class billionaire instill so much courage in one,or is it something else? Maybe the God-courage, since he tends to be doing the God agenda too-so it seems in the eyes of some who are watching from the outside.
