Maybe you should ask yourselves why you're so puckin violent with each other in America?

Guns, no guns... doesn't really matter, the thought process is out of wack!

More guns and more violence will fix everything waving

Not really. Chicago has very strict gun laws and major gun violence

Even without guns, people can stab, bomb or run people over, like in other countries.

In Texas, I am glad for gun laws but my 2nd amendment too. I will protect me, loved ones and property

Canadians get nervous if there's a gun near the border... I'd like to see the look on his face if he ever walks down the street here in Texas...

Anger management in school would help. What would help more would be to teach
the consequences of criminal behavior. Criminals with guns kill many more people
than lone nut jobs every year. A good place to start would be in sanctuary
cities such as:
Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore

criminals with guns didnt start out that way. Somewhere along the way, they developed criminal 'mentality', which if addressed proactively might reduce the times it is necessary to impart 'consequences' reactively

Yet the children cant address it. And would be fearful if deportation was on the table for them. Which makes a deportion free option for them when they are of AGE to enter a contract, a reasonable and humane solution.

Or the entire Illegal family could stay in their own country and commit their crimes there.. Then we wouldn't have to deal with imported criminals.. don't we have enough American thugs already?. Why import more? Do we need Latin Gangs here?.. do we need MS13?, The Latin Kings? ect, ect. Don't the Crips and the Bloods keep us busy enough. Are we in need of filling prison beds?. After all, all these imported thugs cost money to incarcerate.. right?. who pays for that?

Is that fair?.. that we should have to pay for these illegal criminals in our prisons.. really.. is it?

So we don't have the right to boot their a*ses back where they came from after the assaulted, raped, robbed, murdered and dealt drugs here... really?

this is not minority report,

so we do have the right to serve justice after assaults, rapes, robberies, murders, or drug deals happen and the argument presented never says otherwise.

But to serve consequences for what MAY happen is nuts and not practical at all. I am not personally advocating about who we should let in. I am advocating for how we should treat people that are ALREADY HERE, came as children with no ability to consent or not, and have lived productively/legally since.

no reason to hunt them down with any type of priority, if at all. and every reason to give them the opportunity WHEN OF AN AGE TO CONSENT to be shown discretion for the illegal status they had NOTHING TO DO WITH, and allow them to apply for the proper documentation with no threat of deportation.

no, you know what is nuts... letting illegals to stay here. You see we know ... nothing ... about them or there background... nothing that is why there are over 250,000 parked in our prisons. Do you think they became criminals only here is the U.S?... That they were alter boys back where they came from?.. are you serious!

You are a bleeding heart.. but why not not ask the families of the victims of those 250,000 inmates what they think?

Because it didn't hit your household..it doesn't exist?...

So, yes.. there is a reason to hunt them down. if you have nothing to hide then why sneak into a country? To be a burden on a country that didn't invite you? To " escape" to a country you admire only to disregard its laws? And then have the balls to protest but not make yourself visible when the census is being conducted.

And what are you telling those who did go thru the process the right way.. that they are a sucker?...that they could have just illegally came in then have folks like you defend them. That there time in a immigration center was a total waste of time?

no, anyone not of age to enter a contract (18) who has been BROUGHT with a parent or gaurdian, and after a reasonable amount of time being productive and law abiding, should not have consequences. Certainly those brought during grade school years.

I hate to say that ... our lives revolve around wars ...

we make guns ... and weapons... we even have gun rights ...

but some just go off about something and kill ... an sometimes we never see it coming ... they may have know history of mental or anger issues till they have gotten the gun or other means of hurting and killing someone ... and a few have slipped through the cracks ...

I am thinking you are talking about the son of a police officer and son was a policeman also ... that got shot ..:>(

some story's make me sick ...that they don't step back and see who they may be trying to kill ... becouse their have been a few that died from the officers ... I thought they where going to give them more training ... and not shoot at will ... but there are always going to be places for drug crime ... and with all that going around the country ... very very hard ... to get that out ... unfortunately a continual cycle ... has been for ages... sad2

I think teaching anger management and conflict resolution is long overdue. While guns get the headlines, lashing out and physical violence happens all the time. How many police calls are for domestic disputes each day. You can get angry but physically assaulting someone in any way is not how to resolve an issue.

depends on the issue and who's causing the issue... Sometimes violence is the only answer...

2 weeks ago on Long Island 3 teenagers were arrested for murder. All illegal immigrants and all members of MS13. 2 were 14, the other 15.

But children in your book, right?

It was the 18th murder on Long Island affiliated with MS13 and it is not the first arrest of teenage MS13 gang member in that area for murder, not by long shot. Research it.

But of course you don't want them around your family.. just the good ones.. right.

thank you for addressing the topic of senseless shootings.

I believe too often we look for the reactive measures too much and the proactive not enough. Things change when the mentality and the culture goes through changes. My suggestion was based on watching how adamantly the LGBTQ pushed to change the accepted mentality surrounding their lifestyle, so that it is becoming more and more 'normalized',,,, not that I even agree with it, but I can see that it is happening.

Or the way the moneymakers have worked to push 'trickle down' being a thing.

Or the way the tech industry has pushed the replacement of human energy and purpose with the 'ease and efficiency' of machinery and tech advances.

I am wondering if a cultural mindset can be altered so drastically through immersion, perhaps an immersion of coping skill expectations could do the same.
