Stormy Daniels and President Trump.
What will he say ?
Probably something stupid that he shouldn't that anyone can twist to show something even worse.
What I really wish he'd say is "you know what? It's really none of your business. It was a long time ago. Our relationship, whatever it was, was purely consensual, it wasn't funded by taxpayers. I did what I could to keep it private. And I am just not going to talk about it. If you want to believe I have something to hide, go ahead, you gossiping about it, you judging me for it, that reflects on you more than me. Have a nice day."
I think he should tell the truth whatever that is.
I don't. Not that I think he should lie. I think he should shut up.
But I think he would be excoriated for that by the press. And I don't think he's the type to be quiet when he feels attacked or gossiped about. So that only really leaves lying, or as they call it in politics "controlling the narrative," or "spin."
I'm just thinking of future presidents.
"Yes, I used to be a man, and I hooked up with that guy that used to be a female, here's a bunch of pictures...I just want to be honest and get it all out there! The American people have a right to know everything that goes on in someones bedroom at any point in their life as soon as they become a public figure!"
So far in politics since the invention of the television it's been the person with the most airtime on t.v., the most social presence and recognition, that generally wins the election.
If the "news," t.v. and social media, is going to focus so much on affairs and who is banging whom and when in their life...what does that mean for future political campaign strategy?
"I was going to talk about my tax plan, but instead next week I'm going to leak about an affair I had with (x) celebrity!"
And future social precedents.
"Well, son, for the sake of honesty, while I talk to you about the birds and bees, I need to also tell you about all the people I picked up in bars, the internet, tindr, exactly what we did, and why.
Even though this was before you were born I brought them in to this very house! I just want to be honest with you! You have the right to know who I really am!"
she was PAID to keep quiet, which begs the possibility of actual guilt on the part of Trump ..
Being paid doesn't necessarily mean there is any guilt.
Companies pay to settle lawsuits without feeling any guilt simply for the sake of avoiding future lawsuits, people coming out of the woodwork, and having to pay exorbitant legal fees in the pursuit of innocence.
Look at the #metoo! movement and how many people have jumped on that bandwagon.
If you knew that you could pay off the first #metoo'er which would prevent all the hundreds, thousands, millions, of people coming out and saying "me too!" even though there's no evidence, they're reporting just BS and calling "me too" wouldn't you say the payout was worth it?
I have heard more about this bs in the media than ole slick willy who was doing it even as governor
Slick willy was being sued for sexual harassment.
Not consensual sex.
Monica Lewinsky, among many others, came up as a means to show Clinton routinely had sex, tried to have sex, acted inappropriately, with female coworkers and such.
He lied about having sex with Monica Lewinsky to avoid having it proved that he routinely had sex with, acted inappropriately, with coworkers/underlings/state workers.
It's a false comparison to use Trump and Clinton together, IMO.
Maybe if Stormy Daniels was suing Trump for sexual harassment.
Or Trump was being sued for sexual harassment by his employees/models and Stormy Daniels was being subpoenaed as part of a strategy to show he routinely had sex with employees.
Otherwise it's like saying "I have heard more about this BS about Trump dating younger women than I did about that famous guy that constantly molests children."
